SUPPLY CHAIN & MANUFACTURING ANALYST

The Supply Chain & Manufacturing Analyst serves as a pivotal leader in orchestrating end-to-end supply chain strategy, with a core emphasis on strategic vendor management, advanced demand forecasting, and rigorous financial analysis. This role bridges operational logistics with finance-adjacent data processing, driving critical initiative. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the daily workload focuses on transforming complex inventory and procurement datasets into actionable insights, ensuring supply chain health, cost efficiency, and alignment with BioTAB’s broader growth objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Strategic Supply Chain & Inventory Management (ISM)

  1. Own day to day purchasing: create and manage purchase orders, confirm acknowledgments, track open orders, and expedite when supply is at risk.
  2. Maintain item master data, including lead times, reorder points, and safety stock.
  3. Maintain lot and serial traceability from receipt through shipment to the patient or customer.
  4. Manage the inventory impact of engineering changes, including phase in and phase out plans, use up decisions, and disposition of obsolete stock.
  5. Coordinate inbound freight and logistics, including documentation for imported devices.
  6. Establish and scale an enterprise-wide Supply Chain Framework and ISM strategy for mission-critical operations (Inventory, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Vendor Relations).
  7. Transform large-scale inventory, procurement, and sales data into strategic insights and recovery strategies, presenting high-stakes financial analysis to the Senior Leadership Team to influence BioTAB’s growth trajectory.
  8. Ensure data inputs meet rigorous standards to maximize lead-time accuracy and minimize operational friction.
  9. Architect a Supply Chain Quality Scorecard to monitor and remediate inventory health.
  10. Translate technical supply chain metrics into executive-level insights, demonstrating the direct impact of operational efficiency on BioTAB’s bottom-line growth.
  11. Communicate clearly and constructively regarding expectations, accountability, and performance within a collaborative, cross-functional team structure.

2. Financial & Operational Integrity (FinOps & Strategic Vendor Management)

  1. Manage supplier relationships day to day: pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, delivery commitments, and periodic business reviews with key suppliers.
  2. Maintain the cost side of the item master, including standard cost and landed cost with freight and duty, and report purchase price variance to Finance.
  3. Build demand forecasts from sales history, pipeline input, and new product launch plans, and reconcile the forecast to the purchasing plan monthly.
  4. Analyze inventory investment against service level and recommend where to carry more or less.
  5. Lead Strategic Vendor Management by orchestrating complex cross-functional initiatives and vendor lifecycle operations to continuously optimize procurement budgets, contract structures, and operational delivery.
  6. Perform rigorous financial analysis and automated data processing to translate complex supply chain and contract terms into actionable FinOps metrics, ensuring exact cost recognition and budget alignment across iterative delivery cycles.
  7. Deploy advanced demand forecasting models and predictive analytics to evaluate supply chain risks, resolve lead-time variances, and mitigate manufacturing bottlenecks.
  8. Develop and deploy reporting, SOPs and methods for manufacturing throughput and financial performance with iterative, data-driven planning and vendor alignment.
  9. Ensure data sets are compliant, unbiased, and optimized for high-confidence automation.
  10. Foster a cooperative and productive team culture, maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues across departments.

3. Compliance

  1. Execute purchasing controls in accordance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.50, including maintenance of the Approved Supplier List and the purchasing information for each supplier.
  2. Assist in monitoring compliance within QM programs, Medicare and FDA-related PDAC & 510Ks.
  3. Coordinate incoming inspection and acceptance activities with Quality, and ensure purchased product is not released for use until verification is complete.
  4. Manage nonconforming material received from suppliers, including segregation, disposition, and supplier corrective action requests, and track resolution to closure.
 

Qualifications

 

Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and constructively, collaborating effectively to influence various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams.

Analytical Skills: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of quality and delivery issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Attention to detail: Ensure accuracy across systems, records, documentation, and product requirements through meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time management skills: Effectively organize and manage time to coordinate multiple projects/product streams and ensure timely processing of information.

 

Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management and manufacturing, with a focus on managing strategic supply chain vendors.
  • Comfortable using Salesforce, Google Workspace, Tableau.
  • Experience with Class II or III medical devices.
  • Proficiency in systems planning software (Jira, Excel/Google Sheets, Project Management tools).

Job Requirements & Physical Demands 

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, must be able to lift 40 pounds from the floor and lift to waist level. 
  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Reliable work transportation.
